Walter Barnes has over 40 years leadership and managerial experience in computer technology, real estate owned disposition, REO education, real estate sales and association management. For the past twenty four years, Mr. Barnes has been involved in REO asset management, disposition and association management. His responsibilities as President of the National Association of REO Brokers include business start-up, strategic planning, business and membership development, administration, and conference planning. Under Mr. Barnes's tutelage the Association established a network of sixteen hundred agents. The Association has referred more than 25,000 referrals to this network of agents from one hundred and sixty financial institutions and government agencies. Mr. Barnes is past director and charter member of the California Association of REO Managers. He has promoted twelve conferences and workshops on REO management since 1984; and written a book on the subject. Providing educational opportunities has been a cornerstone of his success.
